Annual Reports
The Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel publishes an annual report chronicling preventable deaths of children in Georgia. Information in this report details deaths that were sudden, unexplained and/or unexpected. This information is compiled from reports submitted by local child fatality review committees. The report details the numbers and causes of child deaths as well as identifies and recommending prevention strategies that could reduce the number of child deaths.

Local Annual Reports
"Per O.C.G.A. 19-15-3 (o), all Local Child Fatality Review Committees shall issue an annual report no later than the first day of July in each year. The report shall:
- specify the number of received by the committee from the county coroner or medical examiner
- specify the number of fatality review reports prepared by that county committee during the previous calendar year,
- be published at least once annually in the legal organ of that county with the expense paid by the county,
- and, be transmitted, no later than the fifteenth day of July in each year, to the CFR Panel and the Judiciary Committees of the House of Representatives and the Senate."
Due to recent legislative changes, CFR committees are no longer required to submit their county annual reports to the Judiciary Committees of the House of Representatives and the Senate. However, county annual reports are still required to be submitted to the CFR Panel by July 15 of each year. Please mail your county annual reports, detailing those child fatalities which occurred in the previous calendar year (January to December) to:
